The Joyful Mysteries 

We pray these mysteries to remember the happy moments when Jesus came into the world to bring us love and joy.

1. The Annunciation

(Luke 1:26-38)
One day, an angel named Gabriel visited Mary. He told her that she would be the mother of Jesus, the Son of God! Mary was surprised, but she trusted God and said “yes” to His plan.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to listen to God and say “yes” to Him like Mary did.

2. The Visitation

(Luke 1:39-56)
Mary went to visit her cousin Elizabeth, who was also going to have a baby. When Mary arrived, Elizabeth’s baby jumped with joy inside her! They praised God together.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to bring joy to others by being kind and helpful.

3. The Nativity (Birth of Jesus)

(Luke 2:1-20)
Jesus was born in a stable in Bethlehem. Mary and Joseph cared for Him, and shepherds and wise men came to visit. Jesus came into the world to bring us love, peace, and happiness.

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for coming to be with us. Help me to share Your love with others.

4. The Presentation of Jesus in the Temple

(Luke 2:22-40)
Mary and Joseph took baby Jesus to the temple to thank God. An old man named Simeon held Jesus and praised God, saying that Jesus would bring light to the world.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to see You as the light in my life and to always follow You.

5. The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

(Luke 2:41-50)
When Jesus was 12 years old, He stayed behind in the temple, talking to the teachers about God. Mary and Joseph found Him there, listening and learning.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to love learning about You and to always stay close to You.
