The Glorious Mysteries

We pray these mysteries to remember how Jesus brings us new life and shows us the way to Heaven.

1. The Resurrection of Jesus

(Matthew 28:1-10)
Three days after Jesus died, some women went to His tomb and found it empty! An angel told them, “Jesus is not here. He has risen!” Jesus had defeated death and was alive again!

Prayer: Jesus, help me to always have hope, even in difficult times.

2. The Ascension of Jesus into Heaven

(Luke 24:50-53)
After spending time with His friends, Jesus went back to Heaven to be with God the Father. He promised to always be with us and to send the Holy Spirit to help us.

Prayer: Jesus, help me to trust that You are always with me, even when I can’t see You.

3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit

(Acts 2:1-4)
Jesus’ friends were praying together when suddenly the Holy Spirit came down like flames of fire! They felt strong and brave and began telling people about Jesus.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, fill my heart with Your love and help me to share Jesus with others.

4. The Assumption of Mary into Heaven

(Revelation 12:1, Tradition)
At the end of her life, Mary was taken up to Heaven, body and soul. God welcomed her with great joy because she had always said “yes” to Him.

Prayer: Mary, help me to love Jesus and follow God’s plan, just like you did.

5. The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth

(Revelation 12:1)
In Heaven, Mary was crowned as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. She is our loving mother who prays for us and helps us to follow Jesus.

Prayer: Mary, be my mother and guide me closer to Jesus every day.
