At Our Lady of the Rosary School, we are blessed to have Our Lady of the Rosary as our patron. She is a perfect model of Joy, Excellence and Service, guiding us in faith, prayer and love as we grow together as a school community. Under her protection, we learn to follow Jesus with courage, hope and trust.
Who is Our Lady of the Rosary?
The title Our Lady of the Rosary comes from the tradition that Mary appeared to Saint Dominic in the 13th century, encouraging devotion to the Rosary as a powerful prayer for peace, protection and spiritual strength. The Church celebrates her feast day on 7 October, reminding us each year of the importance of prayer, reflection and trust in God.
Through the Rosary, we meditate on the life of Jesus as seen through Mary’s eyes, growing closer to Him with every prayer.
Why is Our Lady of the Rosary a wonderful patron for our school?
