National Storytelling Week

We were proud to celebrate National Storytelling Week across our school, inspired by this year’s theme, “Soundtrack Your Story.” Children enjoyed stories shared in many languages from our community, including Pidgin, Hindi, Polish, Spanish, Italian, English and Portuguese. Parents, carers and staff joined us to read and tell stories, giving pupils the chance to experience different voices, rhythms and styles of storytelling. Our older pupils showed great leadership by reading to younger children, building confidence, fluency and a shared love of books.
Throughout the week, storytelling brought everyone together, strengthening connections and reminding us of the importance of language and stories in our school community.
