The school's Governing Body has sole responsibility for admissions and each year publishes its Admissions Policy which specifies how Governors consider applications for admissions to the school. Before you make an application for the admission of your child, you are strongly advised to consider carefully the current Admissions Policies below. This sets out in detail how Governors manage the admissions process and the order of priority in which applications are considered. An understanding of the policy may assist you in avoiding the disappointment of a failed application.
From September, our preschool is changing its name to nursery.
We have a friendly, caring and nurturing setting situated within the grounds of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School. Our nursery offers children an opportunity to have a high quality educational start in life, learning through their own experiences and play. With passionate staff to support and ensure all children are able to develop and flourish during their time with us in nursery. We offer a balance of child initiated and adult led activities, encouraging independence, to develop their self-confidence and resilience. The staff are there for your child throughout their session and carefully observe, assess and provide appropriate next steps to help your child’s development and learning.

Due to the current national coronavirus situation and Government advice to stay at home where possible we are able to access online and emailed appeal forms but have limited access to post.
The Department for Education has issued new guidance in relation to school admission appeals. In line with this and in conjunction with SCC Legal Team it has been agreed that school appeals will be run as audio appeals using a conference call system. The exception to this is for multiple appeals for the same school and same year group where stage 1 will be heard on paper and stage 2 by audio. This is considered to be the fairest and most consistent way forward ensuring majority of appellants can participate. We are in discussions with schools to establish which schools are able to this and will be in touch with appellants once details and dates are agreed with schools.
